Hi, I’m Wheelie. I raced bikes from the age of 8 until I was 22 when college and going out affected the hermit lifestyle required by top class riders! That was the end of my cycling career…. I wouldn’t say I was the best cyclist in Ireland in my age class, I was regularly being beaten into second and third place, but I had a few wins before I quit.
I made the National Team on a few occasions at various levels and remember riding against some of today’s professionals. Elite racing was a different ball-game though and the whole training thing mixed with work and exams never ran smoothly. But it didn’t stop me loving, learning and writing about the professional scene and I’ve brought it all together for a unique look at cycling.

As the season is effectively 10 months long, Members will be asked for payment split into 3 periods so as not to break the bank and to reasonably assess if one is making money or not. As the season is in full flow from March onwards, the first period is at a reduced rate
